Congratulations to Thomas Dudley, who has successfully gained admission for PhD candidacy at Univ. Nottingham with full a scholarship funded by Nottingham and the A*STAR A*RAP scheme! Tom will start his PhD from Dec 2021 onwards under joint supervision with Dr Ayse Kucukyilmaz.

Congratulations to Ben Zandonati (Univ. Cambridge) who has been awarded the A*STAR International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA) for his 2022 summer research programme at the lab!

New Projects Starting

Congratulations to

  1. Qilong being awarded the project on “Advanced ROS2-native Platform Technologies for Cross-sectorial Robotics Adoption” as a Co-Investigator funded by the MTC Industry Alignment Fund – Pre-positioning.
  2. Wenyu being awarded a project each by A*STAR Careers Development Fund and A*STAR Robotics Horizontal Technology Programme Office Seed Fund (Co-I) to work on tactile-guided manipulation and hybrid compliance control.
